IMFAZWE
(Still a work in development ) Imfazwe is a movement and process led performance exploring men and masculinity through the lens of traditional stick playing. Developed through a process of cultural immersion, community dialogue, and physical storytelling, the piece invites audiences to witness an evolving expression of identity, discipline, and ancestral memory.
Created and performed by Nyaniso Dzedze & Ernest "Ginger" Baleni In collaboration with Mahlatsi Mokgonyana with music by Thembinkosi Mavimbela and Thokozani Nsibande
This work is part of a broader project supported by the National Arts Council and created in collaboration with Theatre Duo, The Holding Space Project, and Drama for Life.
Running time: approx. 40 minutes (no interval)
