Soil for Life
ABOUT
Welcome to winter!
To celebrate this glorious hibernating season, we are changing up our usual barefoot leather shoe workshop and welcome back our popular sheepskin slipper workshop.
This workshop will teach you some of the fundamental skills in working with sheep skin as well as a diverse use of tools used in leather work. From this workshop you will gain the insights needed to start your own shoe projects and know the ins and outs of stitching, working with patterns, and securely attaching soles to shoes, yet another translatable skill if you would like to re-sole any once beloved shoes.
Join Summer, a passionate and knowledgeable leather crafter and facilitator, on a journey that has left many immensely satisfied with their newfound self-reliance.
No previous leather working or shoe-making experience is needed; beginners are welcome and encouraged.
Hot soup and bread will be provided as well as tea, coffee, and glühwein to warm the winter shackles while we enjoy a day of passionate crafting in our glorious social environment in the immensely beautiful gardens under the stretch tent with a cosy fire.
Tickets are limited to offer you the best facilitation possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to Summer or Carlos on 060 646 7474 or email [email protected] for more information. You can also check out their website HERE for other exciting classes they offer
