Join us for a tail-wagging good time at our 2km dog walk — a fun, non-profit community event brought to you by Absolute Pets.

It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors with your beloved pet while supporting our NEW local animal welfare organisation beneficiary, SAFE Foster Network. The event also promotes responsible dog walking to help keep our public spaces pet-friendly.

Explore a range of local pet services including grooming and training, and chat to your favourite brands in pet nutrition, tick and flea care, toys, and more.

Expect fantastic giveaways, lucky draw prizes, and fun competitions — from best tricks to happiest tail — with plenty of chances to win!

Programme:

1. Event opens at 08h00
2. Registration from 08h00
3. We have 2 start times 08h30 and 08h45
4. Prizes, giveaways and fun competitions
5. Event officially ends at 11h00

Other than a stroll by the seaside, pet parents and their dogs can also enjoy the following:

1. 150 VIPP tickets will be available which will include a gift bag
2. Prizes for the Best Trick & Happiest Dog competition PLUS lucky draw prizes!
3. Free nail clipping, quick brush and bows to help them feel tip-top after their walk (Courtesy of Umhlanga Dog & Cat Grooming Parlour)
4. Agility demonstration & a tunnel challenge (you will be able to try this fun activity with your dog!)
5. Absolute Pets pop-up shop
6. Free samples of treats and more
7. Warm beverages will be available on the day at Daily Dose

When you purchase your ticket for the Paws on the Promenade event, you will need to purchase one for each person attending as well as for each dog. Kids under 12 are FREE, however all persons attending the event must have a ticket so please add the 'Kiddies' ticket to your cart.

Please note that if you purchase an VIPP ticket, you will receive only one gift bag per ticket, not per dog.

EVENT RULES

1. Please make sure ALL DOGS are on a leash at all times.
2. Please pick up after your dog making use of the UIP poop bag dispensers available along the route.
3. While all dogs are welcome, please bear in mind that your dog will be around many other dogs so consider whether they are socialised enough or comfortable enough being around other dogs.
4. No dogs ‘on heat’ allowed.

The organisers, sponsors and venue will not be held responsible or liable for any personal or physical loss, theft, injury, death or harm which you may suffer while arriving at, departing from or attending the event; regardless of the manner in which such loss, theft, injury, death or harm may be suffered.
