The goal of the webinar

Broaden the participants’ knowledge of addiction and recovery by looking at addiction from a systemic point of view.

About the facilitator:

I am a registered counsellor. I did my Bpsych Equivalent Honours through the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP.) I have done weekly groups with clients in a primary care rehabilitation facility. Before I qualified as a registered counsellor I volunteered as a facilitator at a recovering addict support group in person, in a mixed-gender group and a female-only group online. I am still a facilitator, facilitating for my 10th Year. I also volunteer at the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG). I have a private practice where I mainly see clients online.

The webinar will be of informative nature I will speak about addiction and recovery and the role of the supporter in an addict's life.

Who is the webinar for:

Professionals wanting to broaden their knowledge or refresh their knowledge on some aspects of dealing with clients who are the supporters, family members, or partners of addicts or recovering addicts.

Addiction effects the whole family, and it is not only the addict or the recovering addict in need of treatment. The family needs to start their recovery from the effects of addiction.
