ABOUT
AFRICANARRA: A Celebration of Story, Nature, and Imagination
Join us for Africanarra — a joyful storytelling event inspired by the oral traditions of Africa and the creative spirit of Reggio Emilia.
Rooted in the ancient tale How the Birds Saved the Earth (as retold by Credo Mutwa), this celebration honours the power of story to connect us to nature, culture, and each other. Over the past weeks, the children of Forest House have been crafting birds, singing rain songs, and bringing this myth to life through play and imagination.
What to Expect:
A gentle walk along the forest trail, Forest School style
A special storytelling circle beneath the trees
A celebration of imagination, creativity, and community
Meeting Point: 9:30am at the start of the Diep River Trail
Bring: Walking shoes, water, a mat or blanket
Note: Rain invites us to dance — we’ll gather whatever the weather!
