Battle of the Bands

Celebrate Youth Day with the future of South African music.

Join us this Youth Day – Monday 16 June at 2pm at The Masque for our inaugural Battle of the Bands: High School Edition; an afternoon of young talent and community pride.

Four hand selected high school bands will take the stage:

ReHab (Fish Hoek High)

Entropy (Muizenberg High)

The Honeys (Muizenberg High)

Chromatic Kisses (Westridge High)

Plus, enjoy a guest performance by Something En Route from Wynberg Girls’ High!

These incredible young artists have been hand selected and guided by top local musicians and performers — Jonny Blundell, Qondea “Dhahabu” Avril Mkansi, Linley Meavers, and Matt Keeson — in a mentorship programme that has helped sharpen their skills and boost their confidence.

Expect the kind of raw energy that reminds us what Youth Day is all about — young voices rising.

THINGS TO KNOW:

* You are welcome to take your food and drink into the theatre, but please be sure to return your glass to the bar afterwards.

* Strict admittance policy - no entry after the show start time. Latecomers will be admitted entry at intermission.

* Children are not permitted to sit on laps.

* No flash photography or videography is allowed.

* The Masque Theatre provides secure parking at our designated parking lot,conveniently located just 50 meters past the theatre. Please note that our parking lot closes 30 minutes after the end of the show.

* Outside food and drink are not permitted in the theatre; we kindly invite you to enjoy the refreshments available for purchase inside.

* Tickets purchased are not transferable or refundable.
