4th Year Adaptation Project 2025

The Adaptation Project provides a deep dive into the world of adaptation. Creatively and ethically transforming existing works into compelling theatrical experiences. It encourages both the analytical and artistic aspects of adaptation, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and a thoughtful approach to source material.

The Adaptation Project explores the creative process of adapting an existing work into a theatrical piece of theatre 10-15 minutes in length. Students investigate the artistic, technical, and ethical challenges of adaptation while learning how to transform stories from one medium to another while maintaining the essence of the original work. They will present 5 adaptations of award-winning short stories.
