ABOUT
Parenting an Autistic child can be both beautiful and challenging — but you don’t have to do it alone. Join us on Saturday, August 16th 2025, from 12 pm -1 pm (SAST), for a casual online social meetup where parents and caregivers of Autistic children can connect in a safe, non-judgmental space. This is a space to share, listen, ask questions, offer support, and build a sense of community with others who “get it." Whether you’re newly navigating your child’s diagnosis or have years of experience, everyone is welcome. This includes parents of Autistic children, teenagers and Autistic adults.
This event is hosted by a fellow Autistic adult who is also a parent and deeply understands both the joys and challenges of navigating life through a neurodivergent lens. The space is intentionally created to be gentle, inclusive, and affirming — with the aim of building real connection, free from judgment or pressure. Whether you prefer to participate actively or simply listen, your presence is welcomed and valued.
Elsa Du Toit from Bloom Holistic Child Development Centre will be joining us for the session. She is a Registered Counsellor and Play Therapist who uses a holistic approach to support individuals to reach their full potential. She is Neurodivergent herself and has a background in Neurodiversity and a special interest in Autism. She will be facilitating an interactive and empowering discussion about real-world strategies to support Autistic individuals.
