ABOUT

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) as an Welfare Movement, has been protecting and caring for animals since 1956. It is South Africa's second largest independent Animal Welfare Organization.  It provides shelter for abondoned animals, promotes an efficient adoption (re-homing) policy, prosecutes animal cruelty cases, runs welfare hospitals and mobile clinics in disadvantaged areas and reaches thousands of primary school learners through its challenging educational programmes.
