Delegates arrive with a prepared 5 minute speech which is delivered, recorded, played back and evaluated. The day will be highly participative. The main tenets and skills of public speaking will be discussed, and delegates will depart with a basketful of skills and a hard cover copy of the internationally published and acclaimed book "The Exceptional Speaker" by Alan Stevens and Paul du Toit. About your facilitator Paul du Toit, CSP, SASHoF, GSF: Paul is the author of "You Can Present With Confidence" and co-author of "The Exceptional Speaker" with the Mediacoach, Alan Stevens FPSA, GSF. He is a past president of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa (2015) and received their Founders award at the Gobal Speakers Summit in Cape Town in 2009 where he was opeing MC. He became Africa's first Certified Speaking Professional this century in 2008 (awarded in New York, USA). He was awarded the Gobal Speaking Fellow designation at the Vancouver Gobal Speakers Summit in 2013. In 2017 he was inducted into the Southern African Speakers Hall of Fame.
