ABOUT

Salon 104 presents an exclusive affordable show of art on paper, ‘le papier’, during the second weekend of May 2025 in Oranjezicht, Cape Town. Paper is one of the most basic surfaces artists have used over the centuries, and ‘le papier’ (meaning ‘the paper’ in French) tells of the French origin of Salon 104. 13 artists will exhibit unframed A4-paper pieces in an intimate exhibition space.

Participating artists include Elaine Coaton, Louise Curtis, Paula Dubois, Paula Dugmore, Alexandra Fraser, Jeanne Human, Ros Koch, Caryn McArthy, Joanna Lee Miller, Jenny Parsons, Liesel Trautman, Michelle van Reenen, and Karen Wykerd.

All work will be available at R1 800 an item, of which R300 will be donated to Salon 104’s chosen charity, www.imbaliwc.co.za. Payment via Snapscan and EFT will be available.

Every year Imbali Western Cape Visual Literacy Project supports and cares for over 240 youth from 3 to 19 years old by offering vibrant weekly art-making programmes in Kylemore, a village outside Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. Crucial skills are developed and loads of fun is had in a safe environment where family and community members share in this joy and growth. All the artworks created during the year are showcased in an annual exhibition that reflects the skills, dedication, and imagination of the Imbali teachers, learners, and support staff.

Tickets are limited to 40 per day for each of the 3 days. Book your free ticket now on Quicket to have access to this unique art exhibition.
