Roll The Dice Film Premiere

Join us for the Premiere Screening of ROLL THE DICE, a short film following two characters that are in the Cape Town youth jazz scene. What starts out as an awkward interaction between two old high school friends at a backyard jam sesh, turns into the meet cute that they both didn’t expect. A story about being vulnerable, shooting your shot and rolling the dice.

The soundtrack features all original music written by Seth Grey and Jarryd Alexander (Operation Khataza), influenced by local genres like South Africa Jazz, Goema, R&B and Neo-Soul.With performances from local jazz cats including, Keno Carlse, Owethu Ndwandwe, Zwide Ndwande, Lowkey Afrika, Seth Grey, Jodi Fredricks, Jarryd Alexander and more. The night will include, two screening, a live performance of the soundtrack and a short panel discussion with the creators, Joshua De Koker & Rishi Prag, and the two main actors, David Arries & Ashleigh Francke.

In collaboration with North North Social Club & Homie-Made Movies. Hosted at Cape Town's favourite listening bar, One Park on Thursday 17th April from 7PM - 11PM.

19:30 - First Screening

20:00 - Short panel discussion with the production team and main actors facilitated by award-winning and self-published poet Zizipho Bam.

20:30 - Live Performance by Homie-Made Collective, performing the full soundtrack from the film.

21:15 - DJ Set by General BA

22:00 - Final Screening
