Our first winemaker is, JD Pretorius, Cellarmaster at Warwick Wine Estate. With the estate’s vineyards located on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountains, JD leads with a precision viticulture approach, tailoring every block to its unique microclimate and soil profile. His minimalist winemaking style is all about protecting purity and expression, particularly in Warwick’s signature Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Under his guidance, Warwick’s wines are defined by clarity, elegance, and a vibrant sense of place.
