Intaka Island Full Moon Hike

Celebrate the beauty and wonder of our planet under the glow of the full moon at Intaka Island. As nature puts on a breathtaking show, immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and serenity of this unique wetland sanctuary.

Event Details:

• 18:30 – Check-in at reception and stroll to the Lapa to catch a beautiful view from our beloved “Bird Mountain.”

• 19:00 – Welcome & Introduction, with spot prizes up for grabs!

• 19:20 – The Full Moon Hike begins, taking you along the tranquil paths that wind through seasonal salt pans and restored wetlands.

• 20:20 – 21:00 – Gather around the firepit for warm drinks and sweet treats.

Let the rustle of the reeds, the shimmer of moonlight, and the scent of fynbos guide your journey. Walk the moonlit path and honour the planet we call home.

What to bring: A torch and comfortable walking shoes are essential.

Pet policy: Intaka Island nature reserve is a bird sanctuary, therefore regrettably, no dogs are permitted on the island.
