BUILDING RESILIENT,KY-ND CHILDREN.
A thought-provoking and practical talk designed for parents and educators.
The talk will provide insights on how to raise self-aware, resilient, confident children while fostering kindness and connection - a combination that sets them up for success in school and beyond.
TWO ENGAGING SPEAKERS:
Joni Peddie (30 minutes) - A corporate leadership and resilience expert,
- Why resilience is the cornerstone of success and well-being for children
- Simple, actionable ways parents and teachers can nurture emotional, mental, and social resilience.
- How to prepare children to ‘bounce forward’ from challenges, giving them the tools to thrive in high school and life.
Jen Rowe (KY-ND) (30 minutes) The founder of KY-ND, a movement inspiring KY-NDness, connection and authentic living,
- How to ignite meaningful conversations and build strong connections.
- The power of words: Why what we say matters more than ever.
- How KY-ND apparel, sharing our stories and living with purpose sparks connection and combats the growing epidemic of loneliness in children.
- Practical steps to teach and live KY-NDness every day, starting in your homes and classrooms.
Interactive Panel Discussion (30 minutes)
Featuring the School Leadership team, this session will reflect on the points raised by Joni and Jen. The panel will share their insights and experiences as educators in fostering resilience and kindness in children. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a dynamic discussion about building stronger school and home environments.
