Godfrey Johnson is a multi-award-winning artist who has performed extensively both globally and in South Africa. He has released two albums featuring the work of Jacques Brel. His style is a combination of theatre, pianistic virtuosity, singing, comedy and honest story telling.He also morphs into numerous familiar characters such as Nugent Stein who will have you rolling on the floor with unnatural sincerity. Johnson recently directed Pieter de Vos new play 'Kruger'. He has appeared in numerous films and series. Johnson has also written musicals and soundtracks for both stage and screen. He has been nominated for 7 Fleur du Cap Theatre awards in various categories ( best actor in a musical, best performance in a one person show, best composer).

He has been Pieter-Dirk Uys' musical-director and composer since1992.
