Urgent Action Needed: Transforming Mariannridge Secondary School (MSS) into a Beacon of Hope

Imagine a classroom where the roof leaks during rainstorms, where students shiver in the winter because the windows are broken, and where the library lacks essential books and resources, such as defective sanitary systems and firefighting systems This is the daily reality for the students of MSS, a vital institution serving the Mariannridge community.

For decades, Mariannridge Secondary School has been a cornerstone of our community, providing education and hope to countless children. However, time and limited resources have taken a toll, leaving our school in a state of severe disrepair. We are facing critical challenges:

• Dilapidated Infrastructure: Leaky roofs, cracked walls, broken windows, and unsafe flooring create an environment that is not conducive to learning.
• Insufficient Resources: Outdated textbooks, a lack of technology, and a severely understocked library limit our students' access to quality education, defective toilets and lack of a secure infrastructure.
• Inadequate Facilities: Insufficient sanitation, inadequate heating and cooling systems, and a lack of safe recreational spaces hinder our students' well-being and development.

These conditions are not just about bricks and mortar; they represent a fundamental injustice. Our students deserve a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where they can reach their full potential.
