Join local Cape Town artist Miss Sunday for an evening of appreciating our uniquely beautiful bodies by turning them into art and preserving them forever through the awesome craft of punch-needling!

Each ticket includes: 

1 x Drink (your choices are between any of the stocked wines, ciders, beers, cooldrinks or coffee)

1 x Punch Needle kit (includes: embroidery hoop, square of Monk's Cloth with a printed affirmation-rainbow, 4 colours of yarn, a punch needle and threader)

1 x Figure-drawing Warm Up with Miss Sunday (pencils and sketch paper provided)

1 x Punch Needle Workshop by Miss Sunday

In this two-part workshop we'll start with a Figure-Drawing Warm up to get a sense of how we want to capture our bodies for the punch-needle portrait. For this you will need to bring a photograph (on your phone is fine) of the shape of your body that you would like to draw, and later, embroider. We'll reduce our silhouettes down to simple lines that will be easy to recreate on your cloth. Then - it's time to sip and stitch! Bring your friends or make some when you get there - this workshop is for anyone looking to make themselves a reminder that they are in fact remarkably beautiful. Hosted at a cafe that breathes creativity and self acceptance in a relaxed social environment; we will be crafting our hearts out at The Kaya Cafe!
