ABOUT
A thoughtful and wonderful Mother's Day gift experience!
A stunning Mother's Day gift to get out into the fresh air where the whole family can participate in a celebration of our Moms. Whether you're racing for victory, fun, or a cause, this is a Mother’s Day event you won’t want to miss!
Runners compete on a 2km looped course, aiming to stay ahead of a chase bike that starts later and gradually accelerates. Each runner's race ends when overtaken, and the winner is the last runner caught. How far can you go before it catches you?
This event isn’t just about speed but celebration and giving back. We’re raising funds for Mother Touch Academy, making every step count for a great cause.
Event Highlights:
- Prizes for the last runner caught and category winners
- Delicious pancakes on sale!
- Mother’s Day theme, so bring your mom or run in her honour!
- Exclusive picnic & massage bundles to spoil yourself or your mom even more (Free neck massage with every brunch pack purchased.
We look forward to seeing you there!
ABOUT MOTHER TOUCH ACADEMY
Developing the children of Diepsloot and beyond...
Mother Touch Academy is a Not-for-Profit Organisation (NPO) which opened its doors when an urgent need was identified to provide preschool educational services to children in the impoverished Diepsloot community. The school was met with an overwhelming response from the Diepsloot community and has grown to over 90 learners today. Annually we reach our maximum capacity and must place learners on our waiting list.
We accept children from the ages of 1 year up to 5 years old. The learners are separated into 5 classes according to age and are not only stimulated mentally with lessons but are nurtured emotionally and socially.
Our Values
We commit to an effectively managed preschool with an emphasis on a quality education and ensuring that your child feels safe, happy and secure.
We provide access to affordable Early Childhood Development (ECD) education in a safe environment with caring staff.
We place importance on the core values of kindness, respect and good manners while encouraging the children’s curiosity and nurturing their desire to learn.
Our Vision
To develop the children of Diepsloot and beyond, by providing quality preschool education to children
Mother Touch Academy wishes to contribute towards South Africa achieving its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4; by 2030 all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood education, development and care.
We strive to reduce poverty and social inequality through holistic education and care of pre-primary children, including nutrition, psycho-social and remedial support.
We empower and assist black women to further their education and qualify as teachers and equip them to be leaders in their communities.
