Part of their Western Cape launch tour, Dave Reynolds & Pops Mohamed perform music from their SAMA nominated album, "Live in Grahamstown" which was recorded at the Standard Bank Jazz Festival. For the show at THE DRAWING ROOM, they will be joined by bassman extraordinaire, Schalk Joubert.Acoustic guitarist and steelpan player, Dave Reynolds has performed and recorded all over the world with Hugh Masekela, Andy Narell, Steve Newman, Ronan Skillen, Paul Hanmer, Tony Cox and others. Indigenous instrument maestro, Pops Mohamed has performed and recorded with Andreas Vollenweider, Cat Stevens, Baaba Maal, Luna Paige and others. Dave & Pops have performed over 160 concerts together, most recently at the SA Music Awards ceremony in Sun City. Schalk Joubert is one of SA's busiest session musicians, producers and performers. He spent 6 years touring the States with Michelle Shocked, is a regular with music legend David Kramer and Luna Paige.
