The diversity of the terroir is what distinguishes the wine of Strandveld.

This southern tip was discovered in the year 1488 until modern day explorer’s centuries later discovered riches of a different kind – In 2001 a group enthusiastic wine lovers, struck by the spirit of adventure that motivated the Portuguese all these moons ago, become the inspiration to seek a potential ground, based on its proximity to sea, and so Strandveld Vineyards foundation was set.

 In conjunction with Possums and Conrad Vlok, the esteemed winemaker since 2004 will host a special evening at Tree Tops Dining. Conrad is a man of the sea and soil with the philosophy that winemaking is about good grapes – The art and science of viticulture is not complete until the bottle is on the table. Conrad has 5-star wines with a number of gold and double gold medals to Stranveld’s acclaim.
