Our brand-new addition to the Berg range — and one of the most affordable and scenic multi-day mountain adventures in South Africa!

This bucket-list hike will test your limits while rewarding you with jaw-dropping views of the Drakensberg Escarpment. Imagine watching both sunrise and sunset from the top — with panoramic views stretching over 200 km and an elevation gain of nearly 1,000 meters!

-Dates: 28–30 November 2025

-Time: 8:00 AM

-Distance: ±47 km (round trip)

-Elevation Gain: ±1000m

-Grading: Grade 4 – Strenuous

Cost:

• R1999 per person – No gear or meals

• R3499 per person – Includes gear rental + 5 meals

Accommodation:

Wild camping/caves in the mountains under a billion stars

Rustic accommodation at the Mweni Cultural Centre is also available the night before and after the hike at affordable rates.

Important:

This hike is not suitable for beginners. You must be fit enough to carry your own overnight backpack and tent.

We recommend completing at least 3 training hikes with a full pack before joining.

1-Easy – Minimal fitness required

2-Moderate – Suitable for casual hikers

3-Challenging – Good fitness recommended

4-Strenuous – High fitness required

5-Extreme – For experienced hikers only
