ABOUT
Perceptual skills:All learning that takes place in the formal school environment is preceded by stepping stones. These stepping stones are the perceptual skills that children need in order to function well and learn in the formal schooling environment.
Through incorporation of perceptual skills in the daily teaching programme we ensure that these little children become well balanced learners.
During this workshop you will explore different ways of incorporating perceptual skills within the daily teaching programme. Learners will learn through play, which is of far more value than repetitive learning.

has been in teaching for 25 years, specialising in Foundation Phase teaching, which includes Grades R to 3, as well as teaching learners with learning disabili
ties and emotional problems. Her experience in these fields of teaching, as well as developing teacher resources, enables her to identify with educators and the probl
ems that they might experience in the classroom.
She shares problem solving techniques and ideas across the spectrum of teaching a Foundation Phase class, as well as teaching in a Primary School environment. Experience, intense research and good mentors made her the capable facilitator she is today.
