Riaan Smit: The Gypsy Blues Maestro Early Life and Origins: Riaan Smit, an award-winning singer-songwriter, originates from the vibrant musical landscapes of Namibia and South Africa.
Growing up surrounded by rich cultural sounds, Riaan's music is deeply rooted in blues and gypsy traditions, reflecting his diverse heritage. Musical Career: Riaan Smit is best known for his dynamic performances with his bands Crimson House and The Brothers Remedy. Over his career, he has released six full-length original studio albums, showcasing his versatility and passion for music. His notable works include solo albums "Desert Child" (2017) and "Man in the Hat" (2019), as well as Crimson House albums "Bounceology" (2019), "Come Alive" (2015), "Redshack Rock" (2013), and "Smoke Dust & Whiskey" (2012).
Live Performances and Collaborations: Riaan built his music career in Cape Town, becoming a regular in the blues scene and festival circuit. His electrifying stage presence has seen him share festival stages with music legends such as Bryan Adams, Duran Duran, Shaggy, Maxi Priest, Blondie, and The Chainsmokers.
