Mx Blouse

Mx Blouse makes R&B, jazz and lofi-coded alternative rap music, exploring themes related to spirituality, mindfulness, intimacy and healing. This is a pivot from the artist's previously established eclectic-neo-kwaito sound. The artist, who has been active since 2017, has played at some of the country's most recognisable, as well as more boutique music festivals, including Basha Uhuru, Smoking Dragon, The Search, Design Indaba Nightscape and the now defunct Oppikoppi. In addition to that, Mx Blouse has toured in France, Germany and Switzerland. In 2019, Mx Blouse scored a spot on Apple Music's annual 100 Best Songs chart, with the single 'No Match'. The artist recently introduced their new sound via 2024's 'Emotional Home' EP, which spawned the critically acclaimed single 'Learn to Love You' (named one of the best songs out of Southern Africa by OkayAfrica.com). Continuing on this R&B, jazz and lofi-coded sonic trajectory, Mx Blouse's latest release is titled 'Between Myself & the Ego'.
