Keenan Ahrends Trio

The Keenan Ahrends Trio concludes their acclaimed South African tour with a performance at the North-West University Concert Series 2025. The concert will feature compositions from Ahrends' debut album, Narrative, and his sophomore release, Perseverance: Live at the Bird’s Eye. Bassist Benjamin Jephta and drummer Sphelelo Mazibuko will join him.

Known for his evocative compositions, emotive improvisation, and nuanced musicianship, Ahrends is a key figure in the emerging Southern African jazz scene. His signature sound is showcased across numerous albums and a diverse range of musical projects.
