LAUNCH: Matri-archi(tecture) presents IN-FORM-ALL

The launch of the IN-FORM-ALL invites a gathering of voices within Johannesburg’s counterpublics and beyond, to learn about alternative economies and creative practices that are considered informal. The launch is an opportunity to experience the archive in space, to network and to celebrate. IN-FORM-ALL is a collective platform and open archive of counterpublics between Johannesburg and Rotterdam. The archive connects existing informal local practices and counterpublics in Johannesburg central business district, South Africa and Rotterdam, Netherlands. Counterpublics are alternative ways of making space in cities that non-architects organise in informal ways.

Matri-Archi(tecture) bio: Matri-Archi(tecture)© is an association that hosts a network of African and diasporic spatial practitioners dedicated to learning about our histories, realities and imaginaries through spatial expression. Matri-Archi offers a site for artistic collaboration through design, art and architectural research projects.
