Chefs for Bhongolethu Foundation Charity Art Auction

Join us for an evening of delicious food, wonderful company, and inspiring art, all for a worthy cause in collaboration with Chefs Warehouse and Canteen, and the Bhongolethu Foundation at Room 91.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a selection of canapés prepared by chefs Ivor Jones and David Schneider. 

A variety of beverages will also be served throughout the evening, all included in the price of your ticket. While you mingle, you can enjoy the artwork on display and listen to a performance by the talented Shannyn Fourie. Our MC and auctioneer for the night will be the talented Armand Aucamp-van Noordwyk.

 Following this, we will host an auction featuring a range of art pieces from renowned artists, including Anton Smit, Jero Revett, Michele Koch and Zapiro. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Bhongolethu Foundation.

The Bhongolethu Foundation aims to provide high-quality education to children in the township of Masiphumelele. It is dedicated to making education accessible, equitable, and inclusive for everyone. Its programs address the diverse needs of learners, promoting a culture of lifelong learning and personal growth. The foundation empowers students to reach their full potential, enabling them to contribute positively to society. The school also has a vegetable garden that helps feed the children. Some of the produce from the garden will be used in the canapés served at the event. This year, a Grade 7 class was opened, allowing education for children starting from the early childhood development stage at age 3.

This auction aims to raise funds for:

- School supplies

- Various educational programs offered at the school

- Maintenance of school property
