This workshop is designed for women looking to understand their bodies, take control of their well-being, and age with strength and vitality. It includes two tea/coffee breaks and full buffet lunch.
What to Expect
Hormonal Health – Dr Erika Drewes, will guide you through how your hormones and metabolism evolve in your 40s, 50s and beyond, providing practical ways to understand and support your body through these changes.
Nutrition – Stephanie Rouillard will introduce food strategies to help balance hormones, support gut health, and promote longevity—helping you take the first step in nourishing yourself.
Resilience Building – Louise van der Westhuyzen, will share powerful techniques for managing stress, supporting brain health, and building stress resilience.

Dr Erika Drewes ( MMedFam Med, MBChB, Dip. Obst) is a Specialist Family Physician and Integrative Doctor with a special interest in women's health and burn-out. She is a very experienced clinician with a background in clinical research. She has completed several post-graduate courses in functional and integrative medicine locally and internationally. She is a member of the South African Integrative Medicine Society ( SASIM). She currently works in her private practice, Optimal Health, in Newlands, Cape Town. Erika loves listening to women's health stories and likes to bring improvement to their quality of life and wellness with her work. Erika believes that optimal health is possible for all women no matter their age or health challenges. Hormonal balance is a key ingredient of life beyond 40. In this workshop Erika will focus on this aspect and hopes to educate and give women the tools they need to improve their own hormonal wellness. She looks forward to welcome you and spend a very special morning together.
Stephanie Rouillard is a Dietitian Nutritionist dedicated to helping women reclaim their health through nutrition while rediscovering the joy of food. After graduating Cum Laude in Dietetics from Stellenbosch University, she pursued training modules in Functional Medicine and Nutrigenomics, equipping her with cutting-edge insights into personalised nutrition. In 2019, she established her private practice, now based in Newlands and Sea Point, Cape Town, where she consults clients locally and worldwide. With a focus on evidence-based, practical nutrition, Stephanie empowers women navigating hormonal changes to make informed food choices that support balance, vitality, and long-term well-being.
Stephanie will also be discussing various nutritional principles that will benefit women as they enter perimenopause and menopause.
Louise van der Westhuyzen is an Occupational Therapist and BCIA certified in Neurofeedback Training. She has special interest is in the field of Mental Health which is enriched by a her career experience of over 30 years. She has experience in the assessment and management of mental health conditions and the impact on levels of daily functioning. Her expertise covers all age groups. She is, among other affiliations, a founding member and past president of the Biofeedback Association of South Africa and currently works in her private practice, Brain Dynamics, in Bergvliet Cape Town. At the workshop, Louise will focus on teaching you how to build resilience and promote stress relief using sensory strategies and heart rate variability. These strategies are strongly rooted in academic evidence and can benefit both adults and children.

The Fascia Rehabilitation Foundation NPC is a foundation that brings BDA therapy to kids in South Africa who suffer from cerebral palsy.
