ABOUT

Andrew Young, the renowned saxophonist, will be bringing his brand-new show, ‘Rockin’ All Over the World’ to Clifton School. Joining him on stage will be Durban’s own exceptional pianist, Shem Mahabeer.

Reflecting on his extensive world tours, the song 'Rockin’ All Over the World' came to mind and a new programme emerged. Andrew’s storytelling through music will offer more than just melodies; it will be an intimate sharing of his experiences, from bustling cities in China to the European landscapes where he has spent much of his time. Whether through soulful saxophone solos or energetic ensemble pieces, his performances will carry the listener through the ups and downs of life on the road.

His global journey through music is set to create a vibrant and eclectic atmosphere, drawing from the rich cultural tapestries of the places where he has performed.

The evening will be Barnyard-style, guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic hampers and refreshments as there are no bar facilities available.

Doors open at 17h30, the performance will be starting at 18h30.

Come and rock around the world!
