What Will We Cover?
There are many challenges with any improvement initiative. Some of it includes issues like assessing the company appropriately before starting an improvement journey. How to effectively align Lean with strategy? How can we effectively focus on it to impact the business most? How do we keep senior management’s commitment? How can we effectively engage everyone in the organization? How can we sustain improvements made and continuously improve in the future?
The workshop will start with a holistic assessment approach of a company, implementation tricks and tips to ensure success, and alignment with other initiatives and strategies. At least 40 different aspects of your business are addressed and discussed. High-level principles from various operational excellence and Lean Management, Theory of Constraints, will be addressed in an integrated way.

About the Presenter
Jan Erasmus

As a graduate Mechanical Engineer (Hons) with an MBA, he started his career as a mechanical design engineer. During his career, he held numerous management positions and ran several projects as a project manager in various industries. These include research and development, heavy engineering, production of small parts, and financial services. He has experience as a management consultant, where he headed several interventions to improve productivity, improve customer care, reduce cost, develop the leadership of companies, and change cultures. He has published several articles on Leadership and Change and presented productivity improvement papers at several international conferences, i.e., Tokyo, Japan; Croatia, Arizona, USA and locally at several conferences, he has assisted several companies in the former Soviet Union, namely Moldova, Estonia, Slovenia, and Croatia, in transforming state-owned companies to free-market enterprises.
He is an Associate of Lean Institute Africa and the director and owner of Authentic Consulting (Pty) Ltd, an international management consulting firm focusing on productivity improvement, strategic planning, and leadership development with associates and partners in several parts of the world.
