ABOUT
The Terryl Bell Sextet aka The “Language of Being” is a contemporary, African jazz project lead by drummer Terryl Bell, featuring original compositions along with well-known African standards. The project incorporates elements of Neo-Soul, Gospel and Jazz-Funk into their sound, creating their own blend of African, jazz-fusion. The band features three horns and a rhythm section, namely: Kelly Bell (trombone), Georgia Jones (alto sax), Matthew October (tenor sax), Nobuhle Mazinyane (piano/keyboard), Grant Van Rooyen (bass) and Terryl Bell (drums).DIRECTIONS
