Michael Howard (http://www.michaelhowardworld.com/) hosts the Umoya Trails Spiritual Experience on the plush mountain slopes of the Mindmark Retreat Centre in Magaliesburg, thirty kilometres west of Johannesburg, South Africa.
A labyrinth of trails criss-crosses the mountain side, concealing meditation havens waiting to be discovered amongst hundred year-old wild olive trees and pre-historic gorge geology. Mystical secrets from the birth of humankind give themselves up gently here as the Fish Eagle’s call sweeps souls away on the eternal song and dance of the universe.
Michael says about the Umoya Trails Spiritual Experience, “I still get goose bumps when I walk here. There’s something mystical about this hillside. So, we designed the trails and the havens to give our visitors an unforgettable experience of The Seven Aspects of Spiritual Intelligence* – an experience that should enrich their lives.”
The experience starts with a short introductory talk by Michael in the conference room at the base of the trails. He introduces The Seven Aspects of Spiritual Intelligence and how contemplation works at the meditation havens (a guide to how the experience will proceed).
Then visitors embark on a silent trail walk, stopping at each meditation haven along the way to contemplate an aspect of spiritual intelligence and meditate on love. They are free to go at the pace that suits them and to revisit the same havens again if they want.
Maximum 49 people can be accommodated.
Price R500.00 per person
Unfortunately no children under sixteen.
Wear comfortable shoes - the walk is about 2.5 kilometres, of medium difficulty. Bring a hat/sunscreen and water.
* Michael applied his university research in Theology and Philosophy and his ten-year struggle with his late wife’s terminal disease to the creation of his brainchild, The Seven Aspects of Spiritual Intelligence.
