Gala Farewell Concert - "Song to warm a Winter's Night"
The Cape Town Male Voice Choir is going places - specifically to Uruguay and Argentina.
But before they leave, they are having a gala farewell concert where they will be performing their tour repertoire, including a work by the renowned tango composer, Astor Piazolla and arranged by Argentina's foremost choral conductor, Oscar Escalada.
Another highlight of this concert will be the world premiere of two works composed especially for this tour, showcasing the South African choral tradition, and the winners of their composition competition.
The concert is in aid of Link2Grow, a Cape Town based non-profit, networking organisation of like-minded women, which links needs with resources to advance the status of women.
