ABOUT

We are excited to invite you to our first in-person breakfast event of the year, taking place in Cape Town on 26th February 2025. Join us for an inspiring and thought-provoking morning as we explore key strategies for social justice organisations to thrive, even in the face of uncertainty.

Together, we will dive into practical strategies for navigating a world of increasing polarisation and discrimination, equipping organisations with the tools to not only survive but thrive. Through shared experiences, we will uncover what it means to stay resilient, overcome setbacks, and find realistic solutions in the process. We also aim to instil hope and build a supportive space to help us cope with the impact of these challenging global geopolitical times on our work, our organisations, and ourselves as social justice workers. Be inspired by real success stories that highlight innovative approaches, offering guidance and motivation to move us forward with confidence.

We are delighted to welcome three outstanding guests, two of which are from social justice organisations in Cape Town:

Liezel Shepard from amaBhungane and Mpho Raboeane from Ndifuna Ukwazi will share their insights and challenges of working for social justice organisations. Louise Driver, the director of IPASA, will offer some insights into the perspectives of social justice funders.

This event is an opportunity to connect, share, and learn from fellow organisations committed to social justice. Come prepared to network, collaborate, and leave with actionable insights.
