Miha Pogacnik Concert

Miha Pogacnik is well known to Novalis Institute.  He offered a concert in the early days in Durban, and we have heard so many wonderful stories from the exciting evening that initiated a stronger self-reliant will in the founding members to provide a creative space for civil society to birth a new world into Being.      

It is our honour to host Miha again, for an extra-ordinary once-off experience at Novalis Ubuntu Centre on Wednesday, 5^th March 2025 @ 7pm until 9pm.    Doors open at 6pm.   Light refreshments will be on sale.    Safe parking. 

Miha Pogacnik Naval,

a world acclaimed violinist, Ambassador of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, Professor for Art and Leadership IEDC Bled will be visiting South Africa at the end of February, early March this year. He will be conducting ‘change’ workshops with various businesses and other entities in SA. He says that change begins with individuals making a choice to want something different. None of us can be forced to change, and neither can we forcefully change others.

Art is medium through which our inner selves can be opened up to Truth, Beauty and Goodness from where we as individuals can launch a new orientation to ourselves and the world. Through Miha’s mastery of the violin and music in general, he has been able to see the effect that it has on the inner life of people simply because of what they experience. Miha has been able to work out exactly what it is that art, in his case music, does to human souls when it is masterfully performed in total sacrifice to the music. Miha will take us through this process through his music and mastery, partly the music itself, but partly in conversation, drawing us to being conscious of what is in the music itself but then also what is happening in us when we hear it and experience it.

This experience has left audiences all over the World with a deep inner desire to be more than they are today. It has led and continues to lead to change through individual hearts orienting themselves differently. Miha’s audiences include parliaments and top Universities in search of societal solutions.

The performance will take less than 2 hours and there will not be break.
