ABOUT

Dance Nation Africa is a two-day urban dance camp aimed at empowering and inspiring young dance enthusiasts who are passionate about Urban dance styles such as Hip Hop, Amapiano, and Contemporary.

The camp was created by Joburg-based Communications Agency Duma Collective, spearheaded by fellow dance enthusiast Sibu ‘The Fixer’ Mabena.

This unique event is designed to provide a platform for dancers to learn, connect, and showcase their talents under the guidance of top dance professionals and choreographers from South Africa.

Dance Nation Africa is an incredible opportunity for youth aged 12 to 35 who are passionate about urban dance styles, but everyone is welcome to join the excitement. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a chaperone.

Chaperone passes are available at R200 for general admission and R500 for VIP admission. For those purchasing a Weekend Pass, chaperone tickets are priced at R300 for general admission and R800 for VIP admission.

The camp draws inspiration from the renowned Urban Dance Camp in Europe, bringing together a diverse range of international and local choreographers and dance trainers.

Dance Nation Africa has secured a special guest flying straight from the UK. South African born Johannes Radebe, a Strictly Come Dancing UK star since 2018, is making a homecoming like no other. On Sunday, 6 April 2024, he joins Dance Nation Africa to inspire the next generation -- showing them that dance can open doors to the new world, new experiences, and limitless possibilities.

This combination of global and local expertise will elevate the status of South African dance culture, empower creativity, and build a thriving community of young dancers who can influence the global dance scene. The accredited South African Body of Dance proudly endorses the camp.
