Bellville’s heartbeat is returning to its parks. This December 2026, the Summer in the Suburbs, I LOVE CY Park Festival rocks Jack Muller Park back as an open-air space where families, friends, and music lovers reconnect and gather to celebrate the culture that shaped the Northern Suburbs.
Hosted by The Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP), the festival forms part of its better. bellville. together. placemaking initiative, a commitment to restoring public spaces as centres of community life.
Headliners include Fokofpolisiekar and Early B, leading a diverse lineup of homegrown talent that honours Bellville’s musical legacy. Across one uplifting afternoon, the community can expect live performances, food trucks and the unmistakable energy of people reclaiming shared spaces.
At its core, this festival will become an annual event, it’s the future where parks once more become a stage, every suburb a cultural hub, and every resident a co-creator of vibrant public places they’re proud to call their own.
The I LOVE CY Park Festival – VIP Experience

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Summer in the Suburbs - I LOVE CY Park Festival, an afternoon of live music, great food, local culture and community spirit at Jack Muller Park.
With an exciting lineup of homegrown talent, food trucks, craft stalls and plenty of entertainment, it’s time to gather your friends and family and celebrate the spirit of the Northern Suburbs - at the place where it all started a few decades ago with local music legends.
Before you head out, here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your I LOVE CY Park Festival experience.
EVENT TIMES
- Gates open: 13:00
- Stage programme begins: 14:00 for 14h30
- Festival programme closes: 19:00
Arrive early, find a comfortable spot and enjoy the atmosphere before the music begins.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
You’re welcome to bring the following:
- Your own food and snacks.
- Picnic blankets.
- Camping chairs and portable chairs.
- Cooler bags (*subject to security inspection).
- Sealed bottled water only. Water bottles must be unopened and sealed upon entry.
- Your hats, sunnies, sunblock and personal sun protection.
Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for an outdoor event in a grass-seated park environment. Hats and sunglasses are also highly recommended.
WHAT YOU CANNOT BRING
For everyone’s safety, comfort and enjoyment, the following items are not permitted:
- NO Alcoholic beverages. *No alcohol may be brought into the festival.
- NO glass bottles or glass containers.
- NO Umbrellas.
- NO Gazebos or other large shade structures.
- NO Pets or animals.
Umbrellas and gazebos are not permitted as they obstruct views, take up valuable space and may affect the experience of other festival-goers.
Please be considerate when positioning your blankets and chairs to ensure everyone can enjoy the performances.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
COME HUNGRY! And feast on delicious burgers, pizzas, tacos, drinks, sweet treats and ice-cream.
A variety of food trucks and food vendors will be available throughout the festival, offering food and refreshments for purchase.
This includes: Halaal food vendors.
Pack your own picnic, you’re welcome to bring your own food and snacks.
A designated, strictly over eighteen access enclosed liquor sales area will be available for guests wishing to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Please note that no outside alcohol is permitted into the festival grounds, and no glass bottles.
CHILDREN & FAMILIES
This is a community festival and families are welcome!
- Children under the age of 6 enjoy free entry.
- Please select at ticket checkout the option for entry: kids under 6 years of age on Quicket.
- All children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the event.
SMOKING
Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas. Please respect fellow festivalgoers and refrain from smoking or vaping in general audience areas.
SECURITY & ADMISSION
- All bags, cooler bags, picnic baskets and beverages may be subject to security inspection upon entry.
- Please cooperate with security personnel and event staff to ensure a safe and smooth entry process.
- Right of admission is reserved.
- All festivalgoers are expected to comply with event rules and instructions from event management and security personnel.
WEATHER, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
This is an outdoor event and will be subject to weather conditions. Should the event be cancelled, it will be rescheduled to a future date.
Should the event be postponed to a future date, all tickets purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled event.
