Bramley Primary School

ABOUT

The Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) is technology that can truly transform the classroom and yet some teachers find it intimidating.
It is also a fact that very often schools receive IWBs without proper training or appropriate content to turn it into a high impact teaching tool.
Teachers excel in acquiring new knowledge and skills, but they are often so snowed under with teaching and other school responsibilities that little or no time is left to figure out a new piece of equipment.
SATeacher focuses on empowering teachers to teach.
We are therefore hosting a 12 session workshop during the July 2017 school holidays to teach you exactly how to get the most out of an IWB:
Duration: 3 sessions of 2 hours each per day over 4 consecutive days (total of 24 hours contact time)
Content: Extensive content* relating to the IWB will be covered in three focus areas:
  • Technical - How to operate all the IWB features and tools.
  • Teaching - How to use the IWB for maximum impact on the learning experience.
  • Media making - How to create you own resources for the IWB.
*See 'Programme'  for more detail on the content that will be covered over the 4 days.
Cost: R3360 per participant.
Share the event on FaceBook and receive 3% discount

SATeacher has been empowering teachers to teach since 2003 through training and the provision of equipment and resources to  support the South African Curriculum (CAPS).

To date SATeacher has developed and published more than 581 titles, trained over 30 000 educators from the most rural to the most sophisticated school environments across South Africa.  The approach with both resource development and training sessions is always hands-on and practical, employing internationally researched techniques and methodology. The aim is to make a difference in the understanding of educational content by both teachers and their learners.

While Mathematics remains a key focus area, SATeacher has devolped Curriculum based material on a wide content spectrum on appointment by the Ministry of Education, the Robben Island Museum, the Paper Manufacturers Association of South Africa, Maropeng - Cradle of Humankind and many other organisations.

SATeacher supplies, installs, trains on and provide Curriculum based content for Interactive White Boards and distributes a huge range of their own and other educational resources from pencil through books and sound bars to laptop computers and eResources.
