Oubaitori is a gentle Japanese word that reminds us not to compare ourselves to others. It comes from the idea that cherry, plum, apricot, and peach trees all bloom in their own time — each one beautiful, each one unique.

That’s exactly how we see our incredible dogs at the South African Guide-Dogs Association. Each one is specially trained to support someone with a disability — walking alongside them with loyalty, love, and purpose.
