Red Disa Hike (Orange Kloof)

Sun Feb 9, 06:30 - Sun Feb 9, 13:30

Constantia Nek Parking Lot

ABOUT

Join us for our annual pilgrimage onto Table Mountain to see Disa uniflora blooming in habitat.

We'll be hiking beautiful Disa Gorge in the Orange Kloof restricted area, passing Woodhead Tunnel where we may catch some Red Disas in bloom. Continuing our ascent between forest and fynbos we pass stunning south-facing cliffs where one often sees walls covered in orchids from afar. Later, after topping out at Woodhead Dam, we'll get up close to Disa uniflora blooming along the banks of the Upper Disa Stream. After a well deserved lunch we'll descend back to Constantia Nek via the Bridle Path.
