Casual Hiker: Grade 3

Regular Hiker: Grade 2

Mushroom Rock

Distance: 5km round trip

Elevation Gain: 300m

Grading:

Casual Hiker: Grade 3.5

Regular Hiker: Grade 2.5

Fees:

Standard Fee: R699 per person (after 31 May 2025)

Day Visitors Welcome:

It’s only a pleasant 3-hour drive from Durban, with lovely tarred roads all the way!

Hike Grading Guide:

Grade 1: Easy – minimal fitness required

Grade 2: Moderate – not too strenuous

Grade 3: Moderate – physical fitness advisable

Grade 4: Strenuous – physical fitness essential

Grade 5: Very strenuous – high fitness level essential
