Welcome everyone and a happy 2025!
What better way to kick off the new year than with a Mediterranean-inspired brunch – a feast for the senses and a toast to new beginnings.
The new year deserves a fresh and flavourful start, so let us celebrate with dishes that will bring the warmth and vibrancy of our beautiful Cape Mediterranean climate to you.
We will start the morning at 10:30 am, with a Benguela Cove Lighthouse Brut Mcc Cuvèe Rosè 58.
" Rose gold in colour this Méthode Cap Classique shows prominent aromas of red berries, Turkish Delight and pomegranate with undertones of violets on the nose. The palate is seductively fresh and persistent with a lingering aftertaste of strawberry, nougat and sliced grapefruit. The mousse is fine and soft, leaving the taste buds with a tantalised sensation. Absolutely delicious for summer. With a name that celebrates the facets of a diamond, Pinot Noir was a clear-cut choice to shine in this elegant Rosé style Cap Classique. Reflecting the precision that both the diamond cutter and the winemaker apply to their craft; this wine is light yet luminous with enough gravitas to pour at any celebratory occasion.
We will explore the art of making falafel, velvety hummus, and creamy , tangy labneh, all served alongside warm, homemade pita bread. – simple yet bursting with flavour. We will make Juicy grilled lamb kabobs with a tabouli salad.
For a sweet finale, we will indulge in torrijas, a delectable Spanish take on French toast, served with a fresh fruit salad to bring brightness and balance to the meal.
I will show you how to make Agua de Valencia, a sparkling cocktail blending citrus, bubbles and a hint of sweetness, to compliment our Mediterranean feast
