School Dropout: Hanging by a Thread

Children are born to thrive. The Zero Dropout Campaign and its partners' role is to ensure that the resilience and potential of learner-aged children is nurtured right at the beginning. This can be done through ecosystems of caring and possibilities, which strengthen psychosocial support.

For the past two years, the Zero Dropout Campaign has been collaborating with the Department of Basic Education (DBE) on its psychosocial support programme, supporting the development of relevant policies and initiatives.

A crucial part of this collaboration is research that we have conducted into the provision and access of psychosocial services for adolescents in South Africa, which now we invite you to experience with us through an immersive installation at the Iziko South African Museum.
