Experience an extraordinary event featuring Ndabo Zulu, Thando Zide, and the special guest Soweto Central Chorus, as they present a remarkable musical performance that promises to leave a lasting impression.
Ndabo Zulu, a formidable presence in the global jazz scene, began his musical journey at age nine in Chesterville, Durban, studying steel drums and African marimbas at The Field Band Foundation under Brian Clark. He later picked up the trumpet under Nkosinathi Hadebe and trained with renowned jazz trumpeter Dr. Brian Thusi at the Siyakhula Music Centre in Umlazi. With a strong classical background, Zulu toured internationally with the KZN Youth Wind Band before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Performance (2017), a Master’s Degree (2019), and a Post-Master’s Research degree (2020) in Norway.
Zulu has performed with acclaimed artists across South Africa, the USA, and Europe. His debut work, Queen Nandi: The African Symphony (2020), received critical acclaim, cementing him as a leading force in contemporary jazz.
