The Retro 5000 is paying homage to the surfers, style and of course surfing from the past, if surfing's not your thing, we invite you to come dressed up like it was in the Beatnik 50's, the psychedelic 60's, the soulful 70's and of course the day-glo 80's.

If you think you have it in you to come shred old school style, and of course have a surfboard pre-1990's we suggest you enter! Retro 5000 will reward the best surfer, girl and grom judging decided by vote by the contestants and audience on the beach. Besides ultimate bragging rights prizes include 5000 cash and more to be announced.

 If you know of a really cool, old looking surfboard lying in the garage gathering dust bring it down- you might have a valuable piece of South Coast surfing history there. Anyone with a board that's too small, or you hardly ride anymore, bring it down to our surfboard swap meet and pop-up auction.

For the groms under 12 we will host a free surf clinic between 9 and 11am focusing on ocean awareness and safety, plus the chance to ride a few waves conditions pending...
