A Soirée for the Season

You just can't believe its the end of the year again, and what better way to enter the holiday season than with a concert! The LCMA's Christmas concerts are always a toe tapping blend of Christmas favourites and light classical music, and this year is no different. Joining us for the first time from Gauteng is Linelle Wimbles, probably the country's top coloratura soprano. With her gourgeous and luscious voice she will dazzle us with the acrobatics in Mozart's famous Alleluia but also float long lines, together with mezzo Aukse Trinkunas, in Mendelssohn's "I waited for the Lord". Theresa Prinsloo, one of the stalwart Lowveld teachers and performers, also joins us with members of her studio, including the very talented Karla Brits, with some great pieces for piano and harp. And in between all of this fabulousness will be joyous Christmas carols, accompanied by the Lowveld Community Orchestra, and rich choral harmonies from the Nocoré Ensemble. Not to be missed!
