Are you going through a divorce or separation and feeling concerned about how it’s affecting your kids?

You want to be there for them, but are overwhelmed by your own emotional rollercoaster

It’s normal to feel overwhelmed, but you don’t have to navigate this alone.

This event is designed to help you take action and feel empowered to support yourself through this transition, so you can be calm and present to guide your kids through their big emotions.

Join us for a morning focused on you and your journey.

You’ll hear from experts who’ll answer your burning questions, as well as inspiring stories from moms who’ve been where you are and found a way forward.

You’ll learn practical tools to manage your emotions, build resilience, and create a stronger foundation for your family.

This is also a chance to connect with other moms who truly understand what you’re going through, while discovering amazing health and wellness products created by single-mom entrepreneurs.

You deserve this time to recharge, gain clarity, and feel supported. Let’s come together and create a brighter path forward—for you and your kids.

WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT?

Divorce can significantly impact children, causing emotional distress, confusion, and feelings of guilt. Many children struggle with anxiety, depression, or behavioral changes. Academic performance may decline, and they might face challenges in forming relationships. Financial instability and changes in living arrangements also add stress?.

(Business Tech; Family Laws South Africa)

25% experience ongoing emotional and psychological issues compared to 10% from intact families.

70% may experience difficulties forming and maintaining future romantic relationships or trusting partners

30% more likely to repeat a grade and experience a 20% decline in academic performance

But separation and divorce takes a massive toll on our own emotional wellbeing. We're battling through anger, sadness, resentment, guilt, loneliness, grief ... this makes it incredibly difficult to be present when our kids are experiencing their BIG emotions.

If, like me, you want to make it your priority to minimise the impact of your divorce on your kids, but don't know where to begin, then join me for this unique blend of inspiring speakers, expert advisors and workshop to learn tools to support you along the way.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

My name is Gillian and I am a single mom. We separated 3 years ago and our divorce was finalised in January 2024.

I embarked on a journey of transformation shortly after we separated and it is only thanks to the techniques, skills and perspective shifts during this intense process that I didn't end up a complete basket case.

My biggest WHY was, and remains, my kids. I made a promise to myself that I'd be emotionally available for them. I hadn't realised what I'd committed to or where that promise would take me.

Along the way I was fortunate enough to connect with 4 beautiful humans who were navigating their own journeys. We held space for each other's tears and laughter, anger and growth.

It was these women that inspired me to create this event, to let others know that while everyone's journey is entirely unique, we can create a community where we are seen and heard and understood.

This is the first of what I hope to be many events and I acknowledge your courage in making it this far.

If you aren't in Cape Town but still want to be part of the community, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. I'd love to connect and will be able to share a link to the private Facebook Group as soon as it's set up.

Yours in love and light.
