When was the last time you actually went to a bank, used and printed map, bought a CD, DVD or Book? How we access products and services is changing constantly. Gone are the days of going to the store to buy that new Guns N Roses or Bon Jovi album - we stream it via Spotify, Google Music or iTunes. We find directions to that new restaurant with our preferred app as we get into the car.

We want the same ease of use and flexibility when making use of on-demand services - whether it’s hailing a cab, sending your laundry to the drycleaner, finding a domestic worker, or making a payment. Service delivery is traditionally tied to a personal interaction. We need to trust that the individual providing the service will meet our requirements. Do we lose personal connection when service delivery is digitised or is our need to have simpler and faster access to these services more important?
