False Fortunes

In the bustling township, Nomzamo and Tiny, two young women who work as housekeepers living in a small shack, dream of escaping their harsh realities. Nomzamo, ambitious and flamboyant, is always scheming for a better life, while Tiny is more reserved and grounded.

Their opportunity arises from Sizwe, a security guard at the estate where Vince, a wealthy and lonely man, lives. Sizwe, harboring his own ambitions, shares with Nomzamo his plan to steal a valuable painting from Vince’s house, believing it will be an easy score while Vince is away for Christmas. Nomzamo, seeing a way out of her dire situation, steals the plan from Sizwe and convinces Tiny to join her in the heist, promising it will solve their financial woes.

However, when they enter Vince’s house, they discover more than they bargained for, including Vince’s lifeless body and the emptiness of his luxurious but lonely life. Their plan quickly unravels as they face unexpected challenges, including the sudden appearance of Sizwe, who complicates their escape.
